A role in Growdly refers to what a user is allowed (or not) to do on a Growdly pages. On Growdly we have

  • Company Managers manages individual companies - can upload users etc., can create new courses and edit it.
  • Managers can access course and modify them, they usually do not participate in courses.
  • Teachers can do anything within a course, including changing the activities and grading students.
  • Non-editing teacher can not change content in a course, but can see the results and evaluate students in a course.
  • Students generally have fewer privileges within a course.
  • Guests have minimal privileges and usually can not enter text anywhere.

A role is a collection of permissions that can be assigned to specific users in specific contexts. For example, when a user is enrolled in a course as a student.
